The lighting mode is an option in the pause menu.
Each mode has its own skybox. The six available options are listed below.
Lighting modes
| Lighting mode | Description | Screenshot |

| Space Day | Features a star filled sky with full lighting. | |
| Dark Night | Features a star filled sky with modest lighting. | |
| Earth Day | Features a bright blue skybox with cyan water and full lighting. | |
| Orange Sky | Features an orange skybox and orange colored water. | |
| Pitch Dark | Features a black skybox and no natural lighting. | |
| Overcast | Features an gray skybox with muddy gray water and full lighting. |
